Centralized Emergency Exit Management Unit

The Unité de Gestion Centralisée des Issues de Secours UGCIS must comply with standard NF S 61-934 : 1991 as follows:

The opening request device, located near each equipped exit, must inform the user by an audible and visual signal that the request has been accepted.

A direct or video-protection view of the emergency exits must enable the security guard to give the order for immediate unlocking or to initiate a time extension.

The UGCIS (Centralised Emergency Exit Management Unit), on automatic fire detection or on triggering of the general evacuation alarm, must give the immediate opening command so that the DAS locks are unlocked in less than one second.

All this equipment must meet the requirements of standard NF S 61-932 relating to installation rules.

In accordance with NF S 61-934 and 61-935 standards governing the suitability of CMSI fire safety control units, the Alligator 8 and Alligator 64 UGCIS units have been certified under the NF mark and NF508 reference numbers SSI002A and SSI003A.

The locks

Various French standards and regulations govern the use of emergency exit locks.

Article CO46 of the fire safety regulations for establishments open to the public sets out the conditions under which an emergency exit door can be locked.

Excerpt CO46: “Each door must be equipped with an electromagnetic locking device complying with the standard in force for this application.”

Our locks comply with standard NF S 61-937 concerning the suitability for use of operated safety devices (DAS).

The DAS lock can only be controlled in 2 ways:

Or from a green manual release with switch function, connected to the remote control line and located near each equipped exit.

Or from a UGCIS within the framework of standard NF S 61-934.
